FAQ

How do you source your wood?

We mindfully collect our wood from already-fallen trees in the forests of New England. We never cut living trees; instead, we help clean the fallen trees from the forest floor enabling new growth and allowing those trees to be “reborn” into a true forest-to-shelf experience.

What type of stain do you use on your products?

We only use non-toxic, non-VOC eco-stain and paint.

What do you mean by mindfulness and grounding?

Mindfulness is being aware and noticing what is happening in the present moment with less judgment. This can help you reduce stress and anxiety, increase satisfaction, and develop a more contented relationship with yourself and your inner and outer worlds.

Grounding is returning to that place of calm and noticing. It may mean using tools to bring swirling thoughts and emotions into more of an equilibrium. It is never about right or wrong; only about bringing more peace to you in your moments.

Where are you located?

Our design studio is located in New York City, while our production studio is surrounded by the forests of New England.

What is your designing process?

Our muse is Nature and we directly draw inspiration from our surroundings and experiences.

All items are handmade using carefully chosen crafting interventions, perfectly preserving the energy of nature for you to savor.

Each day you might notice a new detail: a new pattern or hue, or perhaps an intricate crack from the continued breathing and expansion of the wood.  These are all the perfect imperfections and expressions of the wisdom embodied into the wood, and ready to be shared and experienced with you!

There are no two identical pieces. Each is unique and special in its own way; the same as you!
